Aegis Academy Event Refund/Cancellation Policy
Event Cancellation by Aegis Academy
- Aegis Academy reserves the right to cancel an event due to circumstances beyond our control which would make the event non-viable.
- If Aegis Academy cancels an event, registrants will be offered a credit for the full amount of tuition and fee’s paid for the course or an option for a refund.
Registration Cancellation by Participant
- Course registrations are considered final at the time of registration.
- Registration cancellations received not less then seven (7) days prior to the date of the course can transfer the registration to any future course offered at the same rate that they are eligible to attend.
- Cancellations received less then seven (7) days in advance of the course date will incur a $50.00 rescheduling fee.
- No Shows will forfeit all course fee’s.
- Cancellations will be accepted via phone, e-mail, and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
These above policies apply to all Aegis Academy memberships and course registrations unless otherwise noted and acknowledged in writing by an officer of the company.
Privacy Policy
This Policy applies to information collected via the Aegis Academy website, and any additional information collected during training courses.
We make reasonable efforts to secure this information, however, we do not consider this information to be sensitive in nature, and we request that any sensitive information that must be conveyed is done via telephone and not via email.
In addition, we use third party providers for payment processing, background checks and waivers. Each of these have privacy policies that meet of exceed national standards of care, however, the data collected by the third party is generally governed by that third party's privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any other website from whom you request products or services.

Aegis Academy retains the following information on our servers:
Your First and Last Name
Your Email Address
Your Phone Number
Your Address if you choose to provide it
Online surveys should you choose to participate
Comments, questions and email that you submit to us in the course of doing business.
We do not use, share or disclose client information you have provided to us for any purposes with out a written request from you, or a lawful court order.

Payment Data:
We use Authorize.net to process all transactions. In the course of registration, you will provide a means of payment (credit card number) which will be processed by Authorize.net. That data is not stored or available on our system, and its privacy and protection standards are detailed in Authorize.net’s privacy policy which can be found here:
Background Checks:
We use S2 verify to conduct background checks. The privacy policy will be explained in detail during the registration process, however, in general, your personal information will be used to check criminal data bases, the sex offender registry and the terrorist watch list. Disclosure of any information is governed by the fair credit reporting act, however, we DO NOT check the credit of applicants. The complete privacy policy can be found here:

Waivers:
Electronic waivers are processed by Adobe Echo Sign. In addition to the course registration data, you address is collected as a means of identification. EchoSign’s privacy policy can be found here

We use the information we collect in a variety of ways, including:
- to operate and improve the Sites and Services;
- to fulfill a transaction or request;
- for internal purposes, such as confirming and tracking your order, subscription or registration, and for billing purposes;
- to communicate with you;
- to evaluate your suitability for training (Background Check).
